A C trumpet is pitched in the key of C, meaning that when a C trumpet player plays a written C, the sound produced is a concert Bb. On the other hand, a B trumpet is pitched in the key of B, so when a B trumpet player plays a written C, the sound produced is a concert B. This means that the fingerings and overall pitch of the two trumpets are different, and they are often used for different styles of music. **

They can also retract into their shell when they feel threatened or need protection. Their spiral-shaped shells provide them with a natural camouflage, blending in with their surroundings and making them less visible to predators. Additionally, trumpet snails are nocturnal creatures, so they are more active and visible during the night when they come out to feed. **
